For example, The Jazz Store uses a cookie to identify you as an account holder and to make sure that only you have access to your own personal information. The Jazz Store reserves the option to make postal addresses of past members available to companies when their products and/or services may be of interest. Communications From Jazz Store

By creating an account or ordering from The Jazz Store, you may receive communications from us relating to: order confirmations, order updates, order problems, important website information and material changes to site policies and account management procedures.

You also may sign up for free e-mail newsletters and alerts filled with recommendations and reviews for CDs and DVDs. Please note that this communication is different from notices you may receive pertaining exclusively to an individual order or shipment.

The contact information collected in this area is only used to send you the e-newsletters and alerts you have personally selected. You can access or update your personal information, including subscriptions to our e-mail newsletters, at any time. Our Security Procedures

We use industry standard efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your personally identifiable information, including firewalls and Secure Socket Layers (SSL) where appropriate. We also do everything reasonably within our power to protect user information off line. All of our user's information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices with each user having a password to access only his or her information.

Security Policy

1. The personal information you provide, including your credit card information, to create and access a Jazz Store account is secured using industry standard e-commerce security technology such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology. We use this SSL technology to prevent such information from being intercepted and read as it is transmitted over the Internet. The encrypted data is sent to a secure site where your information is stored on restricted-access computers located at restricted-access sites.
2. Every customer account created on The Jazz Store requires a unique e-mail address, User ID name and password. The information you enter in this account is secured in the following manner:
   • We cross check every e-mail address with the submitted password to validate access to the appropriate Jazz Store customer account.
   • We do not allow any e-mail address to access more than one Jazz Store account. When a new Jazz Store account is created, we require you to submit an e-mail address that is not associated with an existing Jazz Store account.
3. Credit card transactions are handled by third-party financial institutions and their vendors. These companies receive the credit card number and other personal identifying information only to verify the credit card numbers and process transactions.

Remember To Sign Out

To further prevent unauthorized access to your account, remember to sign out once you have:

The Jazz Store utilizes the DMA suppression of individuals who wish to eliminate unwanted mailings. To discontinue the rental of your name and address by all organizations using this service, please write to: Mail Preference Service, Direct Marketing Association, PO Box 9008, Farmingdale, NY 11735-9008.

Notice of Changes

If, in the future, we implement changes to our information usage practices that affect your personally identifiable information, we will notify you by e-mail of the relevant change(s). At such time, you will have the opportunity to opt-out of this information usage by sending a message to customerservice@jazzstore.com. We will also endeavor to post the changes in our privacy statement 30 days prior to any change.
