How to Use Our Search Engine

Our goal is to provide you with the most efficient means to locate your recordings and gift items. The Jazz Store interface was designed with you, the jazz lover, in mind. You can browse through our listings by artist or enter a keyword in to the search box provided to find albums, merchandise and more.

  • Browse By Artist — This feature allows you to find every album issued by an individual artist or ensemble. Scroll through a full listing of artist names or select a letter from the top of the page to view all artists whose last names begin with that letter.
  • Browse By Section — We've made it easier to search within each section by genre. If you're looking for Cool Jazz, T-shirts or Jazz Photography, simply select the appropriate tab from the top of the page and view the Browse box on the left for the appropriate segment.
  • Keyword Search — Our Keyword Search function allows you to search by album or artist name, a helpful option if that full CD title or an artist's last name just slips your mind. Please note: this function is for a specific search on album titles or artist names only. It will not allow you to search by a specific song title, but this search box may lead you to one of the categories above for further assistance.

Item Availability

The Jazz Store is now able to offer CDs and DVDs for sale in advance of the release date. Once these items are available for release to the public, we'll ship your order out, so you'll be one of the first to have those hot new tracks! For your convenience, you can determine a product's availability from the Product Detail page. Please read below for what these terms of availability mean for you.

In-Stock: Most items offered at The Jazz Store are In-Stock and ready to ship. If you order in-stock albums or merchandise, your order will begin processing as soon as your online purchase is completed. Once payment has been approved and your shipping address has been verified, we will ship your order to you, usually within 1-2 business days. Delivery times vary according to the shipping method you selected during checkout. Please review the USA Shipping/Delivery Information section for delivery schedules.

More Coming: Occasionally, you'll see an item marked "More Coming." These items are temporarily out-of-stock due to either higher-than-expected demand or delays from some of our vendors. You will not be charged for any item until it is shipped to you.

Pre-Order: Items marked for Pre-Order are available for advanced purchase on our site, but are not available for shipment until a specific release date pre-determined by the manufacturer. When you purchase an Pre-Order item, we will ship it directly to you once we are permitted to do so by the manufacturer. You will be notified via e-mail of the status of your Pre-Order item and you will not be charged for any item until it is shipped to you. Your expected shipment time is indicated on the Product Detail page. Please note, this date indicates when an item is expected to ship from our warehouse, not the expected delivery date. How To Order

Online

  • Click on the "Add to Cart" button to add items to your online shopping cart. After each selection, you will have the option to "Return to the Store" for continued shopping or "Proceed to Checkout" if you are ready to finalize your order.
  • You can also access your online shopping cart at any time by clicking the "View Cart" link at the top of each page.
  • To finalize your order, you must first create a Jazz Store account. This account will enable us to contact you about the status of your order and will help expedite your future shopping experience.
  • If you are a registered customer, sign in using your e-mail address and password. If you are a new customer, enter your e-mail and password to create an account.
  • Enter your mailing and billing addresses and confirm your e-mail address.
  • Next, enter your credit card information into our secure purchase form.
  • Once your order has been successfully submitted, you will receive an order confirmation via e-mail.

Please do not send cash. Checks must be drawn on U.S. banks. Check orders may be delayed up to 14 business days. There is a $20 fee for returned checks. No CODs.

Payment Methods

Credit Card Payment: VISA, Master Card, American Express & Discover are accepted. Your card will be charged on the day your order ships.

Checks: Checks must be drawn on U.S. banks. Orders paid by check may be held for 7-14 business days to ensure bank clearance. Be sure to include the proper shipping & processing charges in your total. Residents of New Jersey are also required to add 7% sales tax to their total. Please note: Additional shipping charges may apply on oversized or overweight items. Please contact a customer service representative if you have any questions about the appropriate shipping & processing rates.

Returned Check Policy: Checks returned unpaid are subject to a returned check fee of $20 or the maximum allowed by law. Returned checks and the check fee may be debited electronically or collected by bank draft from your account.

USA Shipping/Delivery Information

We will ship via UPS ground or U.S. Postal Service for most orders. (Oversized and overweight shipments may incur additional charges.)

Delivery Time

We process and prepare all in-stock items for shipping within 1-2 business days. For oversized or overweight items and any items marked "More Coming," your shipment may take up to four weeks for delivery. In the event your order is delayed, you will be notified.

  • Standard Mail — average delivery time is 5-10 business days
  • UPS Ground — Standard shipping time is 3-7 business days.
  • UPS 2-Day — UPS 2-Day deliveries will arrive two days from the date the order leaves our warehouse. If you choose the UPS 2-Day delivery option, your order will be shipped by UPS 2-Day service.
  • UPS 1-Day — UPS 1-Day deliveries will arrive one day from the date the order leaves our warehouse. If you choose this shipping option, your order will be shipped by UPS Next Day service.

**Please note that your order will not be processed and shipped on the date of entry. In most cases, items will be shipped within 1-2 business days of your order.

Rush Delivery

Orders will be processed and shipped within 1-2 business days. Overnight or second-day delivery is available on in-stock items at an additional charge. Please call 1-800-558-9513 8:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. EST Monday-Friday for a price quote.

We are sorry, but oversized and overweight items are not eligible for express delivery.

Shipping Charges

Regular Shipping Charge (Ground delivery).

For CDs/DVDs, please add $2.95 processing fee plus $0.99 shipping charge per item/jewel case. For merchandise, please add a $4.95 processing fee plus $1.99 shipping charge per item.

For mixed orders (CD/DVDs plus merchandise), customers will be charged the $4.95 processing fee, but individual shipping charges will still apply for each item.

Oversized and overweight shipments may incur additional shipping and processing rates. We will notify you of any additional charges.

Return Policy

  1. All returns must be made within 30 days from date of invoice. Posters are non-returnable due to their fragile nature.
  2. Other products sealed in original packaging may be returned for a full refund, exchange or credit to your account. Refunds will be issued in the manner in which you originally paid. T-shirts and caps may be returned provided they have not been washed or worn.
  3. Defective videos and CDs/DVDs may be exchanged for replacement of the same item only. Before returning a video or CD/DVD, please check your audio/video equipment first. Sometimes the problem can be easily corrected by cleaning your CD/DVD laser optical lens.
    • Please stop videos at the point of defect and briefly describe the problem. If returning a CD/DVD, please indicate the track on which the failure occurred
  4. For product damaged in transit, please call customer service for assistance. Do not return the damaged product before you have contacted us regarding the problem.
  5. Please complete the Return Form on the back of the invoice/packing slip that came with your order and include the form with the product.
  6. Pack your shipment securely and return to us via insured Parcel Post for your protection. Mail to:
